Do you ever use another word?

On a somewhat regular basis, how many of you out there will change a word you are going to write, because you can't spell it and there's no spellcheck?? Or in the old fashioned way...writting a letter, essay, etc. Think about all those post you've responded to and threads you started.
If you don't type/write a lot...well then...this one isn't for you. I am very guilty of this :scared: and I just want to know how many others out there do as this.

Hey, Andretti! Interesting question! I'm a pretty good speller (I should be since I teach English), but there are a few words out there that stump me from time to time. If there's not a dictionary around or a computer, I'll change my word. Sometimes if I'm really lazy I'll call my mom---she's a freak of nature who can spell anything!!! :notsure: :scared:

Guilty of sometimes doing what Tizzo does (open Word to spellcheck or use the thesaurus to find the word I wanted) and if I can easily think of another word and don't feel like going to the trouble... YUP GUILTY of just changing it. :notsure:

I am a blonde when it come to this. Alot of times I can't remember how to spell the easy stuff (the stuff I already know how to spell), I stare at it with a blank look and say to myself it doesn't look right. So I just type it anyway, oh well, whos perfect ?
and you can always say it was a typo

No, no, no! There is no spell check, no dictionary, no parents, no friends...just your spelling skills. Isn't it funny how it's usually words we already know how to spell but cannot remember if it has two p's, drop the y and add ing, or making it plural? :notsure: :notsure:

Only a teacher would have come up with this question. However my mind turns toward the way people speak rather than spell.
My speach is better than my spelling. Never forget the day I heard this...
Favorate line said by a waitress " Ain't got no sence" When I asked her if she could speak better than that she attempted to correct herself by saying "Hasn't go no sence". Or how about the word "yous" Where does that come from? "Would yous like anything else?"

OMG!! You mean not everybody says, "Ain't got no sense."??
I say that all the time!! I just assume that most people don't even realize it's a double negative!!
Like, "I ain't no cop"!! LOL
