Do you have a tank that is taller than your arm length???

I'm looking at a couple of options for tank sizes. I like tall tanks. My problem is that I am only 5'1" tall, and I'll be doing all setup and maintenance on this tank. The tallest tank I have owned is a 24" and I am looking at a 28" tall tank. (if it doesn't work out, I'll probably get a standard 180 and this will be a moot point)
For those of you who have a tank that is taller than your arm length, do you find it frustrating to work with? Is it an issue that comes up often? Do you regret it and wish you had a shorter tank? Or do you enjoy the tall tank so much that it doesn't matter?

I have a 180g, 24" tall, and it has a canopy that's roughly 14" tall on top of it. If there wasn't a DSB in there I wouldn't reach the bottom, and I barely do as it is. It's not a big deal cause I have an extending spot feeder and I have a long scraper to move stuff around if I need to. Plus, they make those "grabber" things to move coral frags and such if you need it.

i have a 220 30" deep and i cant even reach the sand bed i have a long scraper on a stick to clean the glass and a griper to move things around

Your 5'1"...just put a swimmin' suit on and get in.

I'm 6'2", and it's a pain to reach down into my 24" tall tanks. When I do my next tank, it's going to be 10' x 30" x 18" tall, and all SPS.

I'm 5'7" can barely reach the bottom of the 55 and I'm halfway hovering over the tank, same goes for the 75. I'm probably going to have to dive into the 150 if I want to reach the bottom, it's 28 deep.

Thanks! My old freshwater planted tank was a 120..4x2x2, and I was constantly replanting things my stupid fish uprooted, which meant not only reaching the substrate, but reaching far enough to stuff the plants back down into it.

It would get frustrating, but I never wanted a shorter tank! I'm just worried that extra 4" might be the straw that broke the camel's back. So thanks for all the input..makes me feel better!

great idea. I'm gonna take that advice also since I'm only 5'2", in a 150, lol
I LOVE my grabbers!! I do everything with them. Well, those and the stick from my mini blinds. That's my snail flipper/blue grab smusher.

I hate that my tank is 24" deep - SW in the armpit is less than fun....next tank I get is gunne be 18" or 20" if I can help it. (I do love the way the tall tanks LOOK though...)

I have a 220 gallon and its 30" tall and I don't have any problems with it. I don't mind having to grab things every now and then, as I have a pair of aquarium tongs (or the more technical term "grabbers" haha) and also a long feeding stick. This is a fish only tank, so I don't really have to reach the sand very often, but I can't reach it on my own, that is where the tongs have to come in to play.
