Do you have any fish, that think they're other fish?

My firefish, follows my 2 false clowns around. it's so funny, because he copies what they do... be it hovering above the sand on the bottom, of swimming circles around the tank...
i'm glad, and think i'm pretty lucky to have a fish as beautiful as this dartfish (being known for shyness) run around the tank in plain sight, all day errrrrday!
you guys have any similar experiences?

I have a percula clownfish that thinks he is a sixline wrasse. He follows the wrasse around everywhere it goes or at least he tries to, he's not as fast. It is so funny to watch. And the sixline is not aggressive at all so I am not sure what it thinks it is. And like your purple firefish, my purple firefish hardly ever hides and stays out in the open most of the time. It is supposed to be docile according to the descriptions but it will attack the sixline if it comes into it's territory. So all of my fish are a bit confused as to what they are. lol :)

I used to have a clown that schooled with my pajama cardinals. Never left their school but to sleep. Captive bred fish, who knows.
