hes a terrible inhabitant that kills all others and eats coral. he also is known to eat through glass and break silicone seals! i take him off your hands for $50

but seriously, he looks like he is in the tang family similar to the unicorn. prob. just a rarer variation

It sure does look like a fish in the tang family. I would be interested in knowing what it is. I couldn't id this fish in the link below.

It's a unicorn tang. Either lopezi or vlamingi. Both look very similar as juveniles. Both get pretty large 20"+. These are not his normal colors as you probably already know. These tangs are known to change colors like this depending on their moods. He has blue lips and blue spots right?

Good job melly its a Lopezi...actually a fairly cheap fish, but finds a high value to people who want interesting fish..He does in fact have a sky blue color with bright blue spots when normally swimming

We carry them. They are pretty cheap but also pretty small. But we had one in our show tank(125 gallon) because no one wanted him 9 months ago and almost tripled in size. Went from around 3" at least 8"!

I picked him up from the LFS here in town, because they had him labeled as a blue lip tang..hes mine now, and the guy that works there really wants him back...figured he didnt know what it was, he shouldnt keep it...means hell believe whatever hes told
