Do You, or Don't You QT?

OK here is a Q for y'all.....
I have a QT set up, it is a 20 gallon tank. In my main tank, I removed an evil blue damsel who is now living in my QT - the fish was a terrible bully and poor George the goby was miserable. Blue, the damsel, is healthy and hearty - I dont have the heart to flush him and no clue what else to do with him so now he is living in the QT. I have just George the goby in my 75. I have ordered 2 ocellaris clowns and am not sure if I should put them in the QT with Blue or in the DT with George. Help mods! What should I do? I am concerned Blue will terrorize the false percs............

Is there a LFS you could take Blue to? I've heard bad stories about damsals as they age, that's why I'm avoiding them.

I QT...but only for about a week. I figure (maybe incorrectly) that if my fish don't show signs of illness then they are fine by then. Also, I feel bad leaving them in the tiny 10 before they go to the 55. I have pretty small fish for the most part so the 10 works out okay and so far I haven't had any sick fish in or out of the QT. I don't QT inverts like crabs or snails though...

Another thought for people who buy locally: when I see a fish i want, I watch it for up to two weeks in the store before I buy it. I'm on good terms with a couple lfs, and they both will hold fish for me, the more expensive ones with a down payment (that I get back if the fish gets sick). So, with that, even though I do use a qt, I have yet to buy a fish that got sick.

I have a 20 gallon tank set up for a QT . It is bare bottom with some gems and a few decorations . Have a bio wheel filter and a pump running a U.V. light , just in case I need it . I keep my new fish in there for 3-4 weeks minimum . I`m pretty picky on the fish I buy and have two trustworthy LFS that tell me how long they have the fish , what they been feeding them , let me put a few pieces of food to see if and how well they eat , and one LFS asks me every time I`m in there [every few days] how my recent purchase[strike] are .[/strike]

I will check into that Tex, thanks for the suggestion. Blue is a TERRIBLE bully, and pretty large and plump - what can I say, he eats well. I was amazed by how small the yellow tailed damsels are that they sell at *****, less than 1/4 his size. He is hale and hearty and needs a new address.
