Do you run your skimmer while dosing DTs

I was wondering if you guys run your skimmer while you are dosing DT's Phytoplankton? The bottle says most skimmers dont remove a significant amount of the phytoplankton, however I was using Marine Snow before and it recommended shuting down the skimmer for 1 hour after dosing
I am running a Euro-Reef 8-2

I also have a Euro-reef and I turn it off when I add DT's.

I run a EuroReef CS6-2 and normally shut down the skimmer and the circulation pumps whenever I add DT's...but normally only for 15-30 minutes. I don't believe the skimmer will remove the DT's...but I like to allow time for the product to settle before I turn the skimmer and circulation back on.Plus I normally mix the DT's with thawed foods such as mysis and/or cyclopeeze and I like to allow the reef creatures to be able to feast before the circulation is returned.

You could just plug the air intake for the skimmer if you don't feel like turning it off, not sure how the impeller for the pump will affect the dt's though.
