O, definitely. And the best names. Phillip, Lenny, tom, twitch and buddy. Previously luther, gregory, steven, david, margaret and george. O YEA!!!! LOL. What are yer names? Any good ones?
:cheer: I name my fish after a few days of observing them in my tank. I have to get to know them before I can name them:hilarious
snowflake eel = Smegel or (gollum) from Lord Of The Rings
(some days he's good, other days he's on the hunt)!
3 perc clowns = eeny-meeny, miney and moe
(gollum emerged one day and ate eeny-meeny
)
Scopas tang = Pearl
Blue tang = Dory (how original!)
2 Pajama cardinals = felix and Oscar
Spanish hogfish = precious from Lord Of The Rings
flame hawkfish = hawkeye
Theodore and Thelma, my clownfish. I can't figure out a name for my firefish and dont really have the urge for doing so.
So for me I guess it depends on the fish and if I see any personality in it.
Do you name your crabs or snails? If so, why? If not, why not?, they are also living animals
Many others have tried to name them for me, but I have no names for any of them. In the past when I've had a fish with a lot of personality I usually end up giving it a "pet name" (no pun intended) but that happens by accident over a period of time.
All three of my kids love picking out names for the fish. The best part is when I added 20 domino damsels to cycle my tank. It was a little hard for them to keep track!
Tomato Clown: Scetti
Neondottyback: Jaws
3 green chromis: Chevy, Martin, and Steve (3 Amigos)
Coral Banded Shrimp: Spider (when he comes out for food the kids yell Spidaaaaa! and run away)
The hermits are all named George
