Do your Formula Two pellets sink to the bottom right away?

I just fed Formula Two small pellets today for the first time, & they all sunk STRAIGHT to the bottom. So, of course, the 4 chromis we have didn't get any of it. Both starfish came right out, & all the inverts were doing a happy dance, but the container said it was supposed to be perfectly formulated to suspend in the water. What's up with that???
And it wasn't the flow pushing it down, because I tried it in three diff. spots

thanks...the LFS guy is a moron...
He said pellets would work better, but OBVIOUSLY not!
SO...now what do I do with the $11 jar of pellets I have????? Put a few in here & there for the cleanup crew??? It says it's only good for 4-5 months.

well do you still have the receipt. i'd go back and say listen i was told these float and they just sink to the bottom. which technically is true. and say i want to exchange it for the flake instead. if that doesn't work then give it to your inverts. i have the pellets too and i havn't used them for the same reasons. the formula 2 flake though most of it will float and some of it will swirl around your tank which is good cause if you have fish that are shy or some inverts that aren't in the best place to get food can get it too.

We currently use the Brine Plus (?) flake food, which the shrimp love to chase & the fish will eat (but don't prefer). I was hoping for a pellet that I could feed with Auto Feeder when we go out of town for a few days. Then have the pet sitter check up & do a 2nd feeding...but at least cover ONE feeding automatically! Does anyone know if flakes do well in an autofeeder?

I have the pellets you are talking about and have found if you drop them very close to the water, almost touching it, they won't sink until someone knocks them down. If you hold your hand high above the water, they sink right down. I have to do it both ways as my tang loves them and needs them to drop and my clown fish like to pick them from the top.

Thanks! It worked!!! Now my Chromis will pick at them, some fall & the cleaning crew loves them, & the fish eat some!
