I know a breeder that has trained many scooters and mandarians to eat frozen foods . Has kept them for years so far and very healthy in a 29 cube . Showed me what to do and gonna try it . I have a scooter in my 75 for about 4 months now and he eats whatever I throw in , frozen , live , and dry food .

And if it is?
That's the issue. Many of the "experts" around here want hobbyists to have the best/easiest experience with their tanks. Watching a fish starve to death isn't either. So we try to explain what "normally" happens.
Good post and idea Shrimpi.

If its stomach is shrunk in then it isnt eating... I was simply stating that as long as your fish has a normal body structure, there is no need to worry that you are starving it.
