Yeah, I love firefox. I use it when I do certain things, because it is very easy to use, and the security preferences are great. Otherwise, I use Netscape 7.2. (Virtually the same-both are made by Mozilla.)

It's a web browser. It's very easy to use, has very few flaws, and yep, it's free. Just google firefox, and you should find many free downloads, or just go to the Mozilla site.

yeppers... i was just curious who else used it. i was just talking to my friend max yesterday and it turns out i didn't have one of the best extensions ever!... the adblock!!!
but now i have it and all is well!
what's everyone else's fave extensions????

I use Firefox, and will never go back to IE. I remember a few years ago, downloading Firefox for the first time and trying it. Back then it still had bugs, and the browser was bouncing up N down lol. I said no way and went back to IE after uninstalling Firefox. Almost a year later, I noticed a few people talking about Firefox again on a car club board. I said what the hey, I'll give it another try. Downloaded it, and this time there were no bugs, and after about 1 week of getting used to it, I realized it was the thing to have. I havent looked back since. I love having buttons my absolute favorite sites right under the browser bar, and I also use the new Weather extension...now I dont have to have weather . com software boot up with my machine 
I got live weather updates and doppler, etc. right in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser. Cant beat it.

Yea, less problems with firefox than with IE, I get a hell of a lot less bugs and problems with firefox.
And it looks and works the same as IE. Some sites aren't compatiable, so i'd still keep IE on your computer.

My hubby uses FireFox & loves the "tab" functions. He also says it's a WAY more secure browser...

and no snailheaven, no brownie points allowed!
i still have IE for the occasional web page that won't work w/ firefox. which leads to another extension i found.... IE view. you can view a page in IE just by clicking a button and firefox will open up IE, showing you the page you requested... best to go to the page before you need IE though, then click on whatever link you need... :joy:
but really snailheaven, if you want brownie points, you can have them...
except we don't get a nifty little smily w/ anything to do w/ brownies.... how's about some popcorn instead?? ***)

me? a tech chic? ha! that's the first time i've EVER heard that! lol
really i only know enough to get by.... sure i've reformatted a computer before, w/ nice, detailed instructions from my friend max. and i've installed a wireless network in my house all by myself, w/ the instructions on the packaging. but ask me anything complicated, i'm lost! lol
i just know how to follow directions!
