If so, which ones? and what are the risks? And anything else you can tell me. I have strictly corals in my tank now, but would like to put an anenome in if possible. I just dont know anything about them except most people dont put them with corals. So, I was wondering if there is an exception to the rule. Thanks.

yes you can put them in together. just be sure to do your homework before buying, because there are different types that are hardier than others. and yes they all have a tendency to just pick up and move! my seabae is as we speak relocating himself. some are also more aggressive in there stinging capabilities. hth.

I have a Bubble Tip (actually it split, so there are now two) in my 125 with lots of other corals. I give them both plenty of space because they have stung corals a few times. I have not had a problem with mine wandering except after they split, both took up new locations, but once they found a space they liked, mine have stayed put.

My sig has the info. The BTA is moving every few days. I try to feed him when I feel he is in a good spot, kinda like a dog. I have found him on the glass a few times in the middle of the of the top/bottom and just yesterday snugged inbetween the mounting bracket of the seaclone powerhead (not being sucked in) Go figure, so I gently relocate him to a specific rock and feed right away.

Sam,
Just curious, what do you feed your bta? I wan't mine to spilt dang it. I have had him for about 8 mths. Never a problem. Stays put and doesn't bother anything.
But, even though he is hosted by a maroon, no bubble tips???
Also, about once a week he shrivels up like he died, but only for a couple of hours. Is that normal?

I have a Blue Haddoni Anemone in with cyanarina corals and a clam. They have touched each other in the past with no ill affects to either. Not sure how they react to other corals.

Rook,
I feed my anemones a chunk of silverside twice a week. I got mine to split through accident. The heater broke in my old tank and temp went up to about 84. Next day, they split. I got a new heater and brought the temp back down to 79 and they have never split again, even though both "kids" are now much larger than the orginal parent. I've thought about raising the temp again, but i don't like to mess with my tank when everyone seems happy. As for the shriviling up, sounds like your anemone is pooping. Mine do this every week or so too. They get rid of waste, old zooxanthellae, etc. Totally normal.
