I got 2 purple and white nudi's from my lfs who said they eat flat worms.. So far they have not done very much except move around the glass a bit and then today one decided to hitch a ride on my power filiter before I had chance to replace the foam cover. Unfortunately it has gone to nudi heaven as the poor thing was half sucked in before I manged to grab the filter stem. The other is doing fine though. Just wondered if anyone else had them and what they think of them.

Angie those animals usually die due to the fact that it is very hard to mimic there enviroment.
I would stay away from these animals no matter there beauty.

Do you have flatworms in your tank? This is the only reason I would ever attempt to keep this animal and only as a last resort
Chelidonura varians
is reputed to eat flatworms but they are very prone to powerhead accidents and going down the overflow.
I also agree that nudibranchs are best left in the ocean.
This slug may eat your flatworms but will die when the population has thinned out. They are also short-lived and at best a stop-gap against flatworms.
Is this your nudibranch

Don;t know where it came from but observed a frilly white nudibranch in my 30 gallon after 6 months of being setup. Didn't buy it, just found it in my tank one day. Have seen it only once since I changed to 92 gallon......

hey Uncle Fester.
The frilly white nudi branch you mentioned, does it have a solid white body with lace like frilly stuff on each side? If so what the h*** is this as I have one two. Came in as a hitch hiker on a piece of live rock and I think it is feasting on my hairy leather. Doesn't seem to bother anything else but where ever I move the hairy it follows and seems to always be under the rock the hairy leather is anchored to. Have never seen it eating it but the leather is getting smaller and smaller.
