Does your NORI SHEET count as a daily meal?

I was just wondering, I put in a small piece of nori on the lettuce clip and I know how people leave it in for grazing, BUT my fish just attack it, its not used for grazing, its more of a meal. EVERYTHING likes it from INVERTS to GOBY's to of course tangs. SO my question is would you consider this as a daily meal? because they definately do not graze on it and it doesnt last more than 2 hours.

well if all your fish are getting a good helping, then i assume that it could be ok, but just make shure all your fish are chowin down, and make shure that thats not the only thing you feed them

not really. My tangs finish it immediately as well but I clip a small bit in the morning and a small bit in the evening. Over night the snails crawl into the clip and I have to dump them out. I cant really consider it a meal because most of my fish are carnivores so I still feed frozen meaty food twice a day.

That's what I was going to ask - I don't hang sheets of algae except for every other day to try to keep trates down. I find feeding more than that makes my trates go up to 50-60. I try to keep them below 20.

the only reason I feed twice daily is because anthias do best when fed small amounts frequently. In nature they feed on zooplankton brought in by the current ALL DAY long. many suggest they be fed three small feedings daily. Keep in mine I am feeding maybe a 1/8th of a cube of zooplankton the size of a pinpoint (also feeds the corals) and the same amount of whole mysis per feeding. My fish finish that off as fast as it hits the water. 30 seconds max. I also have a midas blenny which joins lyretail schools and feeds the same way in nature. tank is a 6ft 100 gallon with 7 fish (4 anthias, 1 midas blenny and two tangs). zero nitrates or phophates, macro algae in the fuge keeps that in check.
