I recently bought a baby narrowlined dogfaced puffer at my lfs. he was about 1.5 inches when i bought him. how big do these types of puffers usually get, i only have a 29 gallon tank, will i have to eventually return him??

are you talking about striped puffer (A. manilensis)? if you are....they grow to 12" in the wild, but more likely....considerably smaller in captivity (6-7"). you might be able to keep him for a few months, even so you will have to work extra hard to maintain a good water quality. they do grow fast and messy eaters. if you have to returm him in a few months, why not do so now? in this way, you won't get attached to your puffer too much. or do you plan on upgrading to a bigger tank in the near future?

Or the puffer will conform to your tank, no need to sell it to your LFS

What? Conform to his tank? It will grow too big for his tank to house. You need to really think about the info you are giving greg. I have noted in almost all your posts that the info is just a bunch of bs.
