Doh ! Flood.

Man, did I have a beautiful drip system, (ro/di water making up for evaporation), setup.
I had a tube coming from my upstairs, under sink RO/DI system, through the floor and into a 10 gallon, plastic, covered, storage container. The kind you could store cloths in. This container was on a shelf, over a 35 gallon garbage can. I plumbed the storage container into the trash can in case of over flow. If I forget that I have the velve turned on up stairs, the container over flows into the trash can. If the trash can overflows, it goes right into the basement drain. The storage container on the shelf has a tube plumber through a wall an into my fish tank. It was working swell. Till yesterday........
When I got home from work, I checked my tank and noticed the drip had stopped. I figured, WTF, I just filled the 10 gal storage container yesterday. I opened the valve all the way and water came out. Cool. But then it stopped. So, I start sucking on the tube to get the siphon going. Nuttin but air. So I stolls into the laundry room to see what's up and DOH, the shelf the storage container was on pulled out from the wall.
The drain did its thing but everything within about a 5 foot radius was soaked. Damn.
Oh well. I guess I should have used metal anchors instead of plastic ones.

Rates right up there with..."Here, Hold my Beer and Watch THIS...
Sorry, kinda funny though...
Anyway a 10 gallon tank is gonna weigh around 100 lbs full...You might want to get some nice metal "shelf brackets" and make sure they are securely "screwed" into a stud, rather than relying on a drywall anchor which tend to pull out...Even those big metal "butterfly" type...they just make a bigger hole...
Do not ask me how I know this...
