Dolphin fish?

I went to my LFS the other day and noticed that they had a "mini" dolphin fish look alike. I know that obviously this wasn't a true dolphin fish but I never inquired about it and know it's gone.. It looked very rare and measured about 3"... Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Any pics?

Was it freshwater? My lfs has "miniature whales" that look like dolphins, but they are freshwater.

Yea, I'm curious to which you're taking about. The "fish" or the "mammal".

OH.........those are cool fish. There is a LFS here in STL that has a huge hatchery in the back. Once a year that let the public in..........I saw a tank full of these guys and couldn't take my eyes off of them.

a green bird wrasse looks similar to a dolphin as well. That is why we got one for my daughter.

Sorry guys what I meant was a mini "mahi mahi", it's looks like an exact replica........
That freshwater fish is awesome!

It's definatly a saltwater fish....

They have a tank full of those elephant nose fish at the GA aquarium. they are so cool.

Those fish are supposed to get about 12 inches. You need a bigger tank or itself life span will shorten dramatically. Just some FYI.

I thought they were fresh water.......from the rivers of West Africa....Congo, Niger. Thats what I remember about them when we saw them in the hatchery here in STL. They even emit electircal impulses of sorts......don't remember too much else about that part of the info we heard about them.

That looks like a mahi mahi, but the body of the fish was definatly thinner and resembled the mahi-mahi almsot exactly....
I am going back to my privatly owned LFS and I am going to find out once and for all, I can't help It have to know......
I have been searching the web for days!!!!!

Have you done an image search for "Blenny?" Did it have the same coloration?
