i know another mixing angel question....please dont shoot!
i have a flameangel and would like to get a coral beauty!!!! i had the hardest time deciding between the two and eventually chose the flame. now i wnat both! im thinking.........they have tottaly opposite colors........the cb is more rectangular and the flame more circlish ( i know, its not a word!) and well......the flame goes more into the rocks and the bottom of the tank while the coral likes to swim more in the open. i have lots of nice caves built wwith lr. some peeps just throw in the rocks but i make a series of cave sysytems with mine. i have about 5 caves right now, the flame is living in one. i have a 45 gallon and the water has always been perect, i have two perc. clowns..getting a blue linkia star and hopefully in the future one more smalll fish to end off the tank. anyone had experience with flames and cb's together??? any opinion is good. even if you havent worked with these fish!
thanks alot!
sorry again.
your friend (lol),
flame :D :D :D :D :p

i would recommend against it, but im sure you already knew people were going to do that anyways before you posted. i mean i think you already know its not a safe bet and theres probably somebody on this board who has had 2 angel fish in a 45, but im guessing the odds are against you. but once again im sure you knew that. i guess what im saying is why post a question that you know the answer people are going to give you? i guess youre probably looking for that person who has done it before so you feel its safe. but i wouldnt put 2 dwarf angels in a 45, it goes against most things ive read.

OK,Here goes...I have these two in the same tank,,,BUT IT'S A 130 with over 100lbs of rock and they still fought for about a month...They would definatly kill each other in a 45.There's Just not enough territory for in there for more than one...

I would stongly recommend that you be careful if you do do it simply cause they are both pigmy's and about the same size, and considering the small amount of territory they have to defend I don't think they would survive.

by no means was a goig to get the other fish any time soon. i was thinking about 2-3 months down the road. believe me i am not out to be cruel. i love fish. sorry if this question braught any un-intended concern. trust me , im not stupid. now that flamey has died though, i will be replacing him (in about 2 month after i make sure the rest of the tank is ok) with a coral beauty.
flame :D :D

its a risk one of your best bets is to get a coral which shows absolutaly no aggresion in the tank its in before you buy it and that its healthy so if anything it can defend itself the more rock in your tank the better as im sure you know and maybe adding a few pieces of rock with the fish will help throw off the flames territory.. i think its all a matter of luck. i have gotten very lucky i have a coral beauty, flame angel, swallowtail angel, nox angel and a juvi emperata angel in my 125 and even though the coral beauty is king they all get along well enough ( no nipping but some chasing) regardless i wish you luck like i have had
