Don't Buy A Jbj....anything!!!!!!!

have a 24gal JBJ nano tank and have had it for only 9 month's. Well I smelled something burning...well the cord that plugs into the Ballast melted!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOOOOO I email JBJ and the place I bought it from. The long and short of it is , JBJ only warranties there product for 6 month's , while everybody else is 1 year. They will not replace it free of charge. So basically I rented this tank for 9 month's. They didn't even respond to me 2nd e-mail , terrible company and a unsafe cheap product! Buy oceanic!! my bio-cube is GREAT. Thank God I was home the night it happened or I would have lost my home too!
PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW NOT TO BUY JBJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate their viper lights..went through two bulbs in 2 weeks

wat about the jbj ATO..heard good reviews on that..and i have a jbj digital thermometer..works great..had it 2 yrs..sorry to hear the bad news..

It melted at the connection between the hood and Ballast . right at the connector. They were actually melted together so you couldn't pull them apart anymore. I Will try to post some pic's

Thank you i will not be getting that brand they should of helped you out now they lost some sales from me and my friends i will deff let them know.

WOW that doesn't look good at all! glad you were there to basically save your house! all my local stores only sell the biocube and eclipse systems. thanks for the heads up I will NEVER buy one of those after seeing that!
