ok guys ive got a 60gal tank i finished cycling about 3 weeks ago.. about 3 days ago i bought a few corals mushrooms polps and 2 clown fish. on the second day the smaller clown died over night and then i started to see some cotton stuff on the other one. ive started to treat in the main tank with geenex or somthing that sound like it. today i got an email from swf thank my clean up crew package will be here tomorrow 16th. now if put the clean up crew in the tank will they get sick also and get that cotton stuff on em ? or should i just try and get the clown out first.....i cant figure out what to do and im kinda freakin out ..this is my second attempt at this.

Genex reef safe (never herd of it)? How did you acclimate your fish? IMO I would of waited a couple months to add any kinda of coral. Is this tank brand new? if not was it treated with any kinda of chem before? I would try and take back the clown just for them to hold.

the inverts shouldnt get the same disease the clownfish did. Ive seen the same thing on a clownfish, but in the end it died. You should not treat any fish in your main tank, lots of medicines have copper in them. Make sure what you put in your tank does not have any copper or else you might as well find a new home for your clean up crew. Any amt of copper is deadly to inverts, and if dosed in a tank it will never be gone. Check out the label and get back with us.

I concur with the copper thing. Any kind of reef tank CAN NOT be treated with much. Fish only yes. Most of those treatments will kill inverts and corals. You may want to get a 10 gallon tank pronto and set it up for the clean up crew coming in. More than likely your main tank could kill them....
