Thats a true beauty! I can't wait to get my refugium and 2x250 watt metal halides so I can get some clams for my 46g. bow. I am gonna wait a few more months to let it get a little more established. It's only like 2 months old. :D

I too got my first clam the other day. I 1.5" squamosa now resides in my 20 long. It is doing wonderfully. Hopefully in the future, more lighting will allow me to step up to maximas.

WOW!
That really is a true beauty! The coloring on him is beautiful. I have a 92 reef, with a 250 watt, 10k aqualine MH BULB (going to get another one in about a month). And 240 watts of PC. ( going to get another 110). But.. no fuge. I also have 1 maxima, and also 1 squamosa. Would 500 watts of MH be suitable for maximas in a 92 reef?

Kip,
Rob from East Coast Clams is good to deal with. He came to my local reef clubs spring open house and had a lot of beautiful clams! 4 of the 6 clams I own came from him.

Kip - that maxima in my tank was from Chad.... Local is really the way to go.
Have you ever gone up to Chad's? I haven't but I hear it's worth the trip.
