i had a dragon wrasse for a few months till he die due to an ick incursion (now i have a hospital tank) that fish has got to be my girlfriends favorite fish that i have. when i change my tanks around i am def going to get one. They are very amusing, eat just about anything and are great personalities for a FO or a nonreef tank.

I would think they would get along fine. I have had a dragon wrass for 2 years now and I have not had any problems with him. He is a very cool fish, I enjoy wayching him. I recently added a bluespotted jawfish and thought the dragon would mess with it. He could care less. When he catches ghost shrimp he beats it against the rock then eats it. He will eat so many that they hang out of his mouth. I was watching my tank one night a bee landed in the water, the dragon seen it the same time I did. He came up and grabbed it and hit against the rock a few times then ate it. I was in shock. This was about 4 weeks ago and he is doing great. Oh yea, I have this in 140. :)

I have a Dragon Wrasse (in tank for 2 weeks) and just added a dogface puffer today. Been in the tank together for about 8 hours and are doing absolutely fine. When introduced the Dragon Wrasse (who is the tank intimdater, but not bully) swam up to the puffer, took a look and went on his merry way. I have noticed the two of them swim right by each other, just centimeters apart, with no bother.
Yes, I do have them both in a 55 gallon tank (smaller than required when they get larger, I know) and they will do fine until they outgrow the tank. My philosophy is, however, that if they do survive to a larger size than I can accomodate, I will give them back to my LFS and re-stock my tank with some new interesting species. The money is not a problem.
I think this is a fun thing to do. There are so many cool fish out there that I would like to have the opportunity to see a bunch of them in my tank grow to a nice size. I do not have the space, nor my wife's permission, to get a larger tank so I will have to deal with the 55 gallon one.
Am I the only one who thinks this is ok?

KingHammer,
How big was your Dragon Wrasse when you put him in with the lion? And/or how big is the Lion?
I have that combination, but my Dragon is in a 20SW Hotel tank till he gets big enough "Not" to fit in the Lions mouth
I "had" a Damsel that was bigger then the Wrasse is now and He and the Lion got along fine for a couple of months (I figured the Damsel was too quick for the Lion), Then one day the Damsel shows up "missing" and the Lionfish had a big smile and a big belly.
