Drilled tank question

There are a few used 125g drilled tanks for sale locally in my area. I am planning to use the tank for freshwater and wanted to know if its okay to use the tank without plumming. I would probably use a bulkhead/pvc and just plug the holes? Would this be stable? The tanks are going for $100 and he has 8 (a pet store closed). What else can be done to satisfy my needs? thanks..Fred

I would love one but I am sure they are not shipping them down to South Florida

So they said there are two holes about 1.5" from the top of the tank, one toward left one toward right...can i patch them somehow?
