how can i tell if my glass is tempered or not, this aquarium is an older one.. 5or so years and i dont know if its tempered or not i see no sticker but i want to be sure, thanks
also does anyone know what it cost to get an aquarium drilled at a glass store

my wife works at a glass shop she said it should cost around $20-$30

if your glass is tempered it should have a tempered bug---if it does not have a bug you can tell it is tempered by looking down the surface of the glass and images will appear wavy---try looking at a piece of glass you know is tempered. For example a shower door, patio door, or glass marked with a tempered logo.

i dont know what you mean by wavy and when you say look down surface of glass do you mean put my head against glass and look down it???
and by bug do you mean sticker??

They call it a bug beacuse the tempered mark it is etched on the glass.
objects will apper wavy or warped when you look down the surface, you can put your head on it or just look down it from on the the sides.
A tank that is only 5 years old should not be tempered
