Drilling a Glass Tank

I live in the chicago area and am looking for a place to drill some bulkheads into my 29 and 55 gallon tanks.
Anyone know someone in the chicago area that will do this?
Most the local glass shops say that they will not touch it.
Thanks

Do you know if the glass is tempered glass? If it is then I dont think you can drill it. It will shatter like a car windsheild. If you are sure that its not tempered then you can try to grind a hole useing a dremel tool. I have never done it but someone else suggested that in another post.

if you want to drill the sides just get yourself a dremel and a dimond bit. mark off the area and have a steddy flow of water to cool the glass. a garden hose works great. and grind away. first etch the glass and work your way deeper until your threw.
the cost of the dremel and bit should be cheaper then having them drilled.

Thanks for your help guys.
I found an independant contractor that is a friend of a friend.
He drills holes in glass as one of his skills.
He says he has done it before.
Thanks again.
