A hole saw is the best with a vari speed electricx or battery operated drill. Of course the hole saw needs to be a diamond coated variety.
lacking a hole saw, you can use a dremel tool or air die grinder with a diamond tipped burr to cut the hole out. Odds are you will have to order the diamond tip hole saw online or from a local company as it would be rare for them to have that in stock since there is so many types and sizes, but the diamond coated burr should be available in home depot or lowes or even wally worlds tool department. The burrs run about $5 each and the hole saws can be had formn a few bucks to big bucks. Don't worry about ht echeap ones they work just fine and will drill quite a few holes in a tank. May not hold up in a commercial environment but for hobby use as such they are perfectly fine. That big

site has them as well....the guy lives in hong kong that sells them and he is very reliable so don;t be afraid to order from the dude just cause he lives in hong kong. I got mine in a shorter time frame from hong kong than stuff that only had to go a few states away......

I got mine from hong kong also very fast. just go slow make sure your level and spray water constantly on the whole. put some tape on the back of the whole to help with surface tension. when i broke my 55 it was cause i wasn't level and when it went threw the back it grabbed and shattered the whole back. but when i drilled my 125 it went like cake no problems. starting is hard i had to tilt it slightly to get an edge cutting then level it out. when i put it flat it would jump every where. worth the risk i think. I also belive that the 55 broke cause it was tempered and what not.

yea I use my B&D dont know what RPM but im sure it will be fine. I dont know about the rounded tips. And they do sell a lube spary you can use I just used water it worked for my once. But Im telling you its the worst feeling in the world if your tank breaks. be prepaired to deal with that if your going to drill it your self. and a local glass shop should be able to do it for around 20 - 30 $ A hole but they say its not there fault if it brakes. thats why i did my own and yes i broke the 55 cause i went too fast and wasnt strait. good luck though
