Dripping Kalkwasser...

Are you supposed to drip kalkwasser 24hrs a day? Or do you drip it when your lights are off? I bought one those automatic kalkwasser dosers and I have a extra timer. Just wondering....
Also is it ok to drip into the display tank or do you need a sump. I going to order my overflow soon so hopefully I'll have a sump..

Where did you get your drip and what kind did you get??

Kent Marine also makes them, you can get them cheap at an LFS or online. I use a top off via float switch and a mag7 into my sump. That way the kalk is added in even doses through the day/night and the salinity stays perfect.
