Dropped Coffee Into Tank

I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't make it a habbit but the coffee will be diluted to the point of being harmless.

LOL...I would panic! Did it have cream and sugar in it? I'm glad Bang Guy spoke up. Now you have to tell us HOW you managed to drop coffee in the fish tank....

Although I agree with Bang Guy that you are probably OK, I would begin a series of water changes anyway. In this hobby it never hurts to be extra sure!

My sister once started to put her soda on the lid of the tank, just like you did your coffee...then she caught the look on my face... I never had to worry about that ever again...LOL...I must look very frightening when someone gets too close to my tanks with food, or liquid that can spill. I know when people dose carbon they use vodka or sugar...you might want to do that water change just to be on the safe side...it can't hurt.

.... the question is...
How big is your coffee cup and how tiny is your tank?
Dumping a quart mug in a 5g tank can't be good from any angle.

I did the opposite placed my coffee on the other lid while on the right side feeding fish drop the cup into the tank it floated to the other side so I. Coffee all down the back wall down behind tank. Clean what I could reach the rest, well the tank will be there for the rest of my life, because my wife will kill me when it ever moves.

So you had sugar but no creamer?
Congratulations! You just carbon-dosed.

Seriously, a single mug of coffee in a 125g tank won't be a major catastrophe. Just don't do it every week. Wonder how the fish handled the caffeine.....

If you had to subject the fish to the coffee the only good hearted thing to do was to drop in a biscotti
