Dropsy Cures

Does anybody know of any dropsy cures other than pimafix or melafix? I've been treating my tank with it for almost a week and the fish that has it, doesn't seem to be getting better. It is only one fish that has it. Is this normal? Also, what are some things that may cause it? I need some advice on this ASAP as I'm going to get medicine for brooklynella in a few hours. Thanks...

It was swollen in the stomach area. I thought it had eaten too much at first, but it kept swelling even without food. The scales were raised all over its body. Labored breathing, actually diagnosed it through these message boards. I started treating the fish for it, but the pimafix didn't seem to be doing anything for it except for delaying the inevitable. Anyway, it died yesterday, wasn't able to find the treatment for it. For future reference do you know where I can get the treatment?
