Thanks for the support ya'll, sorry for the slow response. The drugs they have me on give me some odd hours. On the update, I know the womans attorney and he is a bad a$$. I talked to the DA and they are going to plea it down. She will be in the klink for at least a month. On the civil suit, I am going to file one simply because of what happened to my tanks. The money involved will not affect either of us but I feel she should pay for my crashed tanks and the time that I can not work. The partners in the firm that I work for are going to work the civil case. They are ruthless, cold-hearted s.o.b.s(think of your worst attorney stereotype), so I'm gonna have my tanks rebuilt on her dime, plus a little extra so she can pay for the 500 gallon (still in the planning stage) I'm gonna add to the guest house. On a side note the Tigers beat the heck out of the dogs. And the new tiger(Mike VI 300 lb. bada$$) was unveiled today, check youtube he is awesome. I'm hoping that I can make it to see him in a few weeks when I can make it out of bed. Rachel said that Mike is constantly swimming and running around his habitat, quite entertaining, although I'd be happy if i could just go to the mail box.

Forgot to mention, Rachel was really sweet and rented a game for me from blockbuster. The down side was that it was viva pinata(she hid bio-shock because the little sisters gave her nightmares). Since I'm stuck in bed I've had to watch her play it for hours on end, it's horrible but she is still the sweetest girl in the world.

Dude, Sorry to hear this and I hate drunk drivers. I've seen many examples of the results they cause. I have to agree with involving the media. It looks like she has an attorney that has connections that gets things done. It's all part of the game, but when the media starts showing up and asking questions, the ones that doing the favors are not quite so willing to stick their neck out.

Thats justice. If she's going to use her families money to stay out of jail you might as well give her something else to spend it on too. You are losing a heck of a lot more than 3 weeks. It will be months before you are pain free.
Not all good lawyers are SOB's. The wife was a paralegal for a defense firm when I got wipped out. They handled my stuff for 10%

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, my friend was killed when an illeagal alien drunk driver hit his car head on. The driver had no license or insurance. To this day his wife has memory problems due to brain trauma. Hope you recovered from this.

i dont think that people should be given third, fourth, or fifth chances, that burns me up , my boyfriends father is on of the worst alcoholics i have ever seen, when he is wiskey drunk he gets very angry, he has like 2 felonies and 5 d.u.i's but the cops are stupid in his little town and dont bother to look him up in the system so he just keeps racking up the duis he has had his drivers liscens revoked for like 2 years and yet he still drives, i really wish something would be done about repeat offenders

Unfortunately there is little that can be done to prevent Drunk Drivers unless you can remove alcohol completly from society or install Baid machines on all vehicles.Neither of which will ever happen.Alcoholism is a very serious and deadly disease with no cure and there are some that will drive no matter what. Even with jail time.Alcohol will do alot of things to a person,one of which is it distorts judgement, you may think your ok when infact you are not.

Hey LSU - i just came across this thread and was wondering if the accident happend in Baton Rouge or somewhere else. You know they got alot of drunks in BR and gotta be careful - not like any of what happened was your fault. Anyway take care LSU FAN!

hey LSU im new to this but that really sucks. i always hide my keys when i plan on drinkin so that i dont take that chance. but i hope u have a speedy recovery and as far as xbox games ghost recon 1 or 2 or awsome if u like war games.
