Dry erase markers -safe to use?

This is my first post so be gentle
I was curious if it would be safe to use a dry erase marker on the front of the glass?

It sounds kinda stupid im sure but If i write in on the front of the glass I don't forget to put in the supps. That and If I label the tank and what to put in the help will do it.

First of all welcome!!!!

However while I agree that post it notes are not reef safe, trust me you don't watn to know why. I would think that a grease pencil wouild work better on your tank. That is what one lfs uses and it does wipe off the glass if you want to change it in the future. With the white board pen if you want to change it in the future you may have to use some windex to get it off and I have read some horror stories about windex getting in tanks.
Just something to think about.

omg Im not the only one! Sometimes We use the front of our tank for a message board between family members!

"When you're out today, DON'T BUY ANOTHER FISH TANK!!!"
