Spread it out as much as possible.
Maybe a hair dryer?
It's not live sand, is it?

hand dryer would blow it around lol.. i dried sand in my oven back when i had a uromastyx. if you go that route i would obviously let it cool before you put it in your tank

yes i recomend you preheat to 450 and bake for 8-10 min... hehe just kidding that was the instruction for the pizza i just ate... but yeah just spread it out on a cookie sheet and bake it for awhile. once you think its dry take it out let it cool and if theres any still wet just bake it longer.

Well I said spread it out!

Seriously, I thought maybe you could contain it in a box. But I like the oven idea.

Are you moving and concerned about the weight? Otherwise why do you need to dry it out. If you are putting it into an aquarium, you could thaw it in a bucket with some water.

May I ask why you're trying to dry it before you wet it? Also, why are to trying to sift it? Is it previously used play sand? I don't get it.

Ok, that was funny; I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frustrate you!! I don't believe that your skimmer will take silt out of your water. What kind of sand is it? I guess I would try skimming it off the top with a net.

the sand brand is called Sandtastic and is a normal play sand, i could try to make my own little filer out of firlter fiber, its like cotton but tank safe, i'll try.
