Will it help to have BOTH a DSB and LR? I am planning LR for my FOWLR plus simple inverts. I am going to have about 100lbs in my 75Gal and LS as the substrate. Do I need a DSB? I like those "jawfish" that burrow in the sand - is that not a good idea?
I think that as long as you have some LS or LR on top of your DSB it will also be easier to keep than a shallow sand bed or CC substrate. The critters help keep it clean and make for a wonderful environment in any marine tank. IMHO.
