Finally i have all my sand ready and I'm going to change my substrate to a dsb in the morning.My first question is will i use most of the original tank water that i can get out before i remove the cc and secondly i have 3 types of sand recommended by the members here 80lbs of Super Reef Grade and 60lbs of the sugar sized sand both by Carib Sea and then 40lbs of the Natures Ocean Bio Active Live Sand.What order do i need to put the different sands in the tank which is a 55.Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated,Thanks :cool:

Save as much of the original tank water as you can. For the sand bed, if it were me, Id mix the three types together as your putting them in. Create a combination live sand, if you will. That way all the beneficial bacteria is mixed throughout the tank.
When I did mine I had the luxury of not having any fish or inverts so it wasnt as stressful. If you have any occupants it might be beneficial for them to be moved for a day or so. HTH

I used it and feel it is a good approach. Plan everything out in detail and be prepared. You need a lot of containers, heaters, powerheads, etc. Good luck with it.
