What is the amount of LS that makes it a DSB??
a) 4"
b)5"
C)Other Amount
I put 4"DSB on my signiture and was thinking I might be wrong in doing so.

the easiest is to measure it,or you can do a search ont his site for a sand bed calculator, i know i've seen it out htere a couple of times
ooops, i misunderstood, yes 4 inch is a dsb, 4 to 6 is the norm, but most say that (over)6 is over doing it with no added benefit

Is the question about how much live sand (vs other sand) to use in a dsb to consider it a dsb? I don't think it matters how much ls is used in a dsb to call a 4-5" layer a dsb.
Maybe I just am not following the question. Just my 0.02 worth today.

I was just wondering how much sand you had to have (depth) to consider it a DSB. Sounds like most people think 4-5 inches. Thanks for the info
