Dumb Emerald Crab!!

It is more than likely just picking foot off the tenticles. Emerald crabs won't actually eat anemone's, so there is really no need to be worried. My emerald crab would hang out all the time under and near my BTA to pickup the food that the anemone would leave behind or that would be stuck on the outer tenticles of the anemone.
Don't worry about it IMO.

+1 i had two emeralds, and one would always hang out by the anemone, mostly under it. maybe protection maybe for food, but it never hurt anythign

i would try to swap it out for a different one. That is if you got it from a LFS. If so they should have no problem trading if you bought it recently. I would just say that you were told that this crab was reef safe and that it isn't being reef safe. I had an emerald that would kill my hermit crabs and snails.
