Dumb Question

Some one in another thread said that their tank "smells good and is producing bubbles". What does that mean and how do i get bubbles? Im taking it my 12 gal nano isnt supposed to smell like the ocean, huh?

My 29gal smells like the ocean. But you have to get really close and sniff....

Tanks that smell bad contain nitrates and other bad stuff. I'm lost on the bubbles.

It doesn't smell "bad."
All fish tanks will have a scent.
