Duster or Hydroid????

How do you tell the difference? I know there are mini feather dusters...I also know there are "colonial hydroids" that look like feather dusters
As ASKED...How do you tell the difference???

Thank you....A couple of weeks ago I found out I had a hydroid...Henry had me put epoxy over it...yes..it looked like your hydroid pic
I noticed what looked like a mini duster in the cluster of those green zoas that I am having issue with....BUT it definitely has feathers.....
So I guess it is of no concern
again...thanks
