duster reproduction

How do feather dusters reproduce? I found a small patch of 3 on a piee of LR, now since then 3 days ago, i found 3 more in various places on my rock.

I think they can also reproduce by segments I acidently cut one and then there were to so thats another way.

I've been noticing batches of them growing out of the sand. They are qutie small and don't really have a stem. They look like small "tops" of dusters. May be something else but they seem to be really mulitplying and look rather cool.
