As for the fish, my lionfish isn't active other than moving around a bit until it finds another place to hang out. He sits on a piece of liverock most of the day, and then moves around when its feeding time.
And a lionfish and a shark will learn to get along just fine in most cases. Just keep an eye on 'em!
WTF are you talking about? Do you think it is a good idea to keep a potential 40'' shark in a 48'' tank. Maybe you do. I do not as well as many others.
Or better yet...do you think it is a good idea to keep a shark, which has a very hard time seeing with the lights on with a lionfish? A lionfish has poisonous spines. And guess what, the spines will kill your fish if it swims into them. Maybe you think that is a good idea as well since we're on the topic now of "just ignore them"
Do you think I type the things to do for the hell of it? We're trying to help this guy. Sure we are not saying what you want to hear. Unfortunately people impulse buy and then fish have to suffer unnecessary deaths.
If I wanted to make somebody feel bad I'd kick their ass. Better yet...if I really wanted to make people feel bad I'd get a job in law enforcement. Then I could screw people over all day long and get payed for it as well as a ridiculous pension plan.
