dwarf hermits driving me crazy.

Lately my dwarf blue-legged hermits have been causing me trouble... I've even been so nice as to upgrade their homes (their shells of course)...
First incident: Climbed onto one of my encrusting montipora.. I didn't think this would be a problem.. but the next morning it was still there so I physically removed it-the spot where it was sitting ended up bleaching and has recently come back.
Second incident: My green florida ric has been doing awesome.. but one way I noticed it wasn't looking so swell... I turned it around to see that a pie-slice was removed from it and the hermits were picking on it and tearing even more off... *note* that ric had eaten a mysis shrimp the night before.
Third incident: Feeding my acans and a couple heads couldn't seem to get a grasp on the food so they were struggling with it... few minutes later I look over and two hermits are clung onto one of the heads trying to get the food out.
I don't remember hating hermits so much... I've got like 4 in a 12 gallon nano.. you think I should remove some/all or just let them do their thing? Anybody else have similar experiences?

no I don't.. my "refugium" is just chaeto hanging onto my skimmer box... I've had red legs do it but I figured blues to be less annoying... guess in a smaller tank they're really able to ..... shine

Well don't get any electric blues then
, mine thought it would be funny to dive bomb a torch coral and snap a stalk off... Little punks crabs are.... But I love 'em :)
