Dwarf Lion and the Spotted Mandarian

has anyone put these two fish together in the same tank and had success?

i had a fu manchu,,, and he tried to eat the mandrin, and got all the slime coat in its mouth,,, it died,, mandarin lived about 2 more months until it died because of no more copepods in my tank,,,, BAD experiance....
