will a dwarf lionfish eat a cleanup crew?

Depending, shrimps and crabs, definate yes. Hermits are safe in there shells unless the lion wansa suck em out. Snails same thing has the hermits. Starfish safe I think.

do u know this as a fact? i am curious as my fuzzy dwarf lion has been with cleaner shrimp 2 crabs and plenty of snails for 6 months now and he does not not give anything or anyone a 2nd glance except me when i have his food ready, also has not bothered the mandrian or the male clownfish

dwarfs should be fine w/ small hermits, starfish, and big shrimp. They will eat peppermint sized shrimp

It really does depend on the lionfish. I have two in with a complete clean-up crew (including a cleaner, a coral banded and peppermint shrimp. Emerald, red mithrax, porcelain, hermit crabs. ) and neither of them have even looked at them. Not that I'm suggesting you load up on shrimp or anything, but it does really depend. My shrimp are also huge, so maybe that is the difference.
