one thing to think about is that you mihgt buy an anemone and it might not host your clowns. I had to percs and a BTA and they didnt realy touch it. then i got my maroon and its like love at 1st site. I have seen clowns in everything from feather dusters to other corals. so you might get lucky but you might not. But a Bubble tip is a good way to go. I have 2 BTA in my 29 gallon tank. I have 300 watts on that and they are doing well. but make sure if you have a hang on back fiter you use something to put around the intake beacuse as i learned they like to travel all over the place and one of mine got stuck in the filter tube. But good luck

I was thinking the BTA would be a good choise. I was also thinking about a Carpet but I know their harder to keep for a long period of time which is what I'm hoping to do. If I'm not mistaken the Rose colored BTA is the easiest to keep of the BTA for a long period of time if I'm wrong someone please let me know.
I would also like to do some reading about which hosting anemones are best (or easiest) to keep if anyone can recommend some good reading be it a book or online links are needed.
I want to keep only 2 maybe 3 Anemones and 6 to 8 clownfish in an 80 gal tank with a 30 gal sump with VHO lighting 440 watts the tank is 17 inches tall 48 inches long and about 2 feet wide. My plans are to have about 80 lbs of live rock and about 2 inches of live sand a 6x6x48 inch homemade skimmer, no bio balls and a pump larger enough to turn the water over 8 to 10 times an hour. If you see where I can improve on this setup please feel free to give your advice. I have about 7 or 8 years of experience in keeping a reef tank but I haven't had a tank up a running in about ten years and I almost feel like a begginer again.
Thanks for any and all advice in advance. Mike

That would be wrong, I've known some very experienced reef keepers with great lighting and excellent tanks that have had trouble with them. The seem to be a bit more sensitive that the brown or green type BTA's
