I went to my local Advance Auto Parts and found blue LED lights for your car. They came in a string of 8, already wired ready for 12v power. They are made by www.4apc.net.
All that I had to do was cut the end off an adaptor and plug them in! Took 5 minutes. 8 of them lights my 6' tank perfect.
Just thought I'd share my happiness.

Nice. Will have to try. WalMart also sells those lights for your car and may be even cheaper than Advanced.

essop3, thanks for the tip. I probably would not have seen this in DIY. Some of those projects boggle my mind. I'll see if my son-in-law and daughter have any extras from their car shows. TR, Shirley

How do you think I feel trying to "explain" some of that stuff...:D

Squidd,I thought it just came naturally.
We did do a DIY canopy/lights and set up our RO-DI unit and supply tank.
That is just about as far as we've gone. If I can't find it online, we don't need it husband says. TR,Shirley
