you probalby could keep something like a bubble tip, but nothing like a carpet. but like said, your tank needs to be established, recomended is at least 6 months.
NEreef, you are correct about the actinics. the actinic and 20000K bulbs have a much lower par rating and doesnt give as much power that the corals and such can use.

ty, its not white, it is like a peachy/rose tan color with green tips on its bulb ends. and it likes it up near the top. mild flow. about 8 inches under the surface of the water. when i first got it its health was ugly looking. i got a deal on it cuz it looked so crappy. the fish really seemed to help revive it.... oh and so did feeding it. lol which i didnt know i had to a couple months after buying it.

Timer, do you have a wooden canopy? if so you could fit more PC on there. maybe go with 2 10000K and 2 50/50s retro style instead of the the blue actinics.

nay. i did purposly buy a small one. but it had the "pinched flanks" as a lot of books tend to say to shy away from. but i had an explosion of pods i guess , hundreds covering the glass. so i figured it was time for the fish i set out to get.

you're a lucky guy with the pods, Timer. usually takes longer than that.

thats for sure, you must have gotten some quality rock. i ahve tons of pods in my 40 breeder. and ive crammed about 80 pounds of live rock in there, but im still goign to wait to get a mandarin until i convince my mom to let me get a refugium, at least like 15 gallons.

Debbie is right here, I think the anemone thing is definatley out then. I have had a tube anemone in my 10 gal, my poor clowns were terrified of it. I did not keep it long. My current tank is my 25 gal. My lights are the regular power glo 20 watt. So I know now that there is no type of anemone I can have. Maybe the fake kind....

My tank is mainly FOWLR plus I have a few mushrooms that have been multiplying like crazy. So I guess I should stick with them and maybe some polyps and zoos.

anemones can be tough to keep, especially without strong light. you could get some PC lights and add some zoos, polyps, and maybe some softies.
