Eclipse 25 Tall in need of lighting

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could recommend some products for me. I know they don't do lighting stuff here for retrofits, so it definately wouldn't hurt to post some hyperlinks! :D I'm trying to get a mini-reef going, just going in one of my old new tanks, a 25-gallon show tall Eclipse2. It was a hospital/fuge for a while, but it is still in such good shape that I need to make it into a reef. Plus, I got a bit of a contract in some computer nerd work, so I'm gonna be makin some dough. $$$ Bling bling! haha But yeah. I was just wondering how much wattage I should throw in there, and if anyone could recommend some PC or VHO units, I was thinking around 75 - 100 watts or so? Is that enough to grow some brains? :D
Please recommend me some good stuff, and I'm gonna lean more towards the cheaper end of it too, just cuz I gotta worry about school. I hate saying that.

most people would suggest a minimum of 5 watts per gallon for a reef setup. So your looking at a min of 125 watts. Then again, clams require a bit more lighting. I dont know the exact amount clams need. Also, you said this is a tall tank. Thats gonna add a couple of watts to your setup cause the light looses its power the deeper you get. just like the ocean gets darker the further down you go. My suggestion would be to get at LEAST 175 -200 watts. That gives you a good 7-8 watts/gal. Of course, thats just me. As you may have noticed already, most will suggest to go bigger and better. There is almost "never enough" gallonage or wattage :) . I would probably recommend PC's but then again, thats a lot of watts on a small hood. I havent tried VHO's, hopefully someone else will let you know how those work.

Mine uses 18" lights - the aquarium itself is only 24" wide, 12" deep, and 22" tall.
Or DIY anything!! I want cheap!!! haha Damn school!
