Eclipse Tanks

What could I do with a three gallon eclipse tank. I do not want to get rid of it I would like to put something with it. I already have 50 gallon I want to create a nice little display.

3 gallon? umm betta tank. however they do have 3 gallon mini, mini reefs here at our LFS.

make it a nano reef. Ha it would be a pico reef! You could add some inverts and some small corals. Ive seen lots of tanks that look great and even smaller than that.

You could add some very small creatures, such as a small hermit crab, and possibly a small neon goby.

That would be sweet. Man a water change would be so small. Pico reefs look so nice. Problem is on your corals you would have to choose ones that don't get very big!

3 gallon would be hard. However can be done you have to take inconsideration... your levels like amm, nitrate and nitrite get out of hand will wipe the whole tank out due to its smallness.

Oldsalty, go to www.nano-reef.com, a website dedicated to nano reefs. You'll be amazed at the size of some of the reef tanks, some as small as a gallon! A three would be good for some mushrooms or zoos and a couple of hermits and snails. Good luck!
