Does the Eclipse hood ever crack? If it did, it would be a disaster! 
Do I need to take off the hood to work on it?
For the protien skimmers...
BakPak and SeaClone both work w/Eclipse?
Which one is better? (bakpak, right?)

i didnt have a problem with my hood cracking but i would take it off the tank so i would be easyer to work with and keep shavings out of the tank
ether skimmer will work ive never tried the backpack but it's small so it would work but it's $120
the backpack would be better ive herd good things about them but never used one
i think they have the same noise level there not to bad
