I think this is too good to be true. What do you think?

the reason no one is answering is because this thing comes up every few months and starts the same debate all over. the general consensus is that this thing is worthless. save your money.
that said, there ARE advocates on here who use it and swear by it. they dare us to prove that it doesn't work, and we dare them to prove that it does. the debate usually ends there.

Yeah I have been waiting and looking for people to post stuff about it. It seems a little too good to be true. I don't see how it can reduce water changed by 75%. I think the company started out making them for pools and spas, but I could be wrong.

Have you used it? Of course not, but still you say it is worthless.
The only person I know for sure that has used it is SrFisher whom has been keeping marine tanks for over 30 years. It does not completely do away with the need for water changes, however he will say that his skimmer is far more productive with the product than without. He doesn't come here as often as he used to, and he I know is equally sick of the argument.
The thing has a money back guarantee, don't see how you can go wrong.

ha i purchased one in my beginer days hoping that it would eliminate the need for a expensive protein skimmer. and soon learned that you get what you pay for in this hobby...
this thing is a hung of junk...
the guy that i talked to about it was saying that it replaced water changes, a protein skimmer and reduced algae... none of which it ever did... still had the same algae problem, how can it replace a water change and how can it remove organics from the water?!? i threw it away 4 years ago

yeah, yeah, not going to get into a pissing contest over this thing. I didn't say I had used it, I said that the general consensus was that it was crap. Those on here who HAVE used it says its a piece of crap as well. (except for Srfisher) and he is completely entitled to his opinion as are you. If you search google, you will find people who have done scientific studies on it and they say its crap.

and reefs.org who's members probably have many thousand of total years keeping reefs did do a study, and they says it failed to live anywhere near it's claims. http://www.reefs.org/library/testing/ecoaqualizer
You will also find a link on here where I sent them a letter asking if WE could do a fair study with their help and they did not reply.
If it looks like crap and smells like crap... It's probably crap.

I have no opinion on the product whatsoever, I don't make opinions on things I haven't used. I do have an opinion on SrFisher and that is that he a very knowledgeable reefkeeper and I value his opinion.

Sorry, I didnt know that this was such a big issue. I think that the product will have to do something, but maybe not too exactly what they say. The reduction of water changes and lowering of nitrates and nitrites, i could understand, but as much as they claim, I think its a little iffy.
I have been looking for reviews on the product and its hard to tell if the people who are giving the reviews are experienced and actually know what they are doing. I dont know if it is a legit review.
