EcoAqualizer - Your experience

I have done some hard core reading of allot of forums on this product that came out 6 years ago. I see two sides.
Side one - People who have it and love it
Side two - Think its snake oil, but never used the product
I put up a poll to see what the results are. I am not for this product nor am I against it. I just wish to know if this really works and want to hear from people who have used this product and liked it or did not like it. If you have tried it, please explain your results if any.

They make it sound like a miracle product. Its a bunch of magnets in a pvc pipe. Some people claim that it's done wonders in their tanks, but I don't see how much good it could.
Stick with a LR and a good skimmer.

I did a DIY of it a little while back and it truly did clear up the water. I thought it was clear before, but after adding it, it seemed even clearer. My skimmer also started producing darker skimmate. I went into the whole thing thinking it wouldn't do anything but was worth a shot for $3 in magnets, but to my surprise it actually seemed to work.
